18 pounds of Sunchokes

Wild Rovers make weeding fun and earn Sunchokes for Food Bank

All those friends you make volunteering in the Foodbank garden? Sometimes they may rove over to give you a hand mulching and weeding at your place. You’ll get your workout—no charge—and share laughter, stories, recipes, and maybe coffee and some homemade frittatas (which leads to more stories and recipes.) And you’ll go home with memories of new friends and 18# of beautiful sunchokes for the Saturday Foodbank.

What’s not to like??? Did you know that Sunchokes are easy to grow and with the right cooking treatment, delicious?

And now -- you’re motivated to tackle that planter of sunchokes in another garden, because, well, because it’s time. And spring is just around the corner. And you know what to do with them.
