Hydroponics at Salish Coast

Over 3700 heads of lettuce a year

It's been a long, LONG time from getting a grant (Thank you USDA),  to having the Greenhouse infrastructure put in (Thank You PT Noon Rotary), to obtaining a hydroponics system (Thank You PT Food Coop,) to getting it installed (Thank You Lee and Brad Bebout), to being able to pick lettuce (Thank You Neil Howe). WOW!!! What a harvest! According to Neil, the system should provide over 3700 heads of lettuce a year.

On the opposite side of the greenhouse being planted today (April 28) are strawberries, (Thank you FBG Volunteers).  We can't wait to see how they produce under the tricked out and perfect conditions of the greenhouse.

Well done PT Community, you are creating food security.
