Taking a Stand

Our Garden Coordinator, Sophie DeGroot  has been at the last three Farmers Markets introducing the  Food Bank Growersto the community. By using a combination of "free plants and seeds" along with Barbara's great picture poster, market attendees stopped long enough to hear about our accomplishments, pick up some freebies and an introductory postcard on where to learn more.

Most people had no idea there were so many gardens and many donated to the cause. Sophie was joined by Kathy Ryan  over the three sessions to answer questions and encourage people to get involved.
