We're Connected!

Thank you for Volunteering!!!!!

4-16-23

Sunday’s Connectivity Fair  connected the Gleaners and the Growers to a new crop of volunteers who may have not known about our network of gardens and picking opportunities.

Gleaners, Suzanne Wilson and  Seth Rolland,Garden Coordinator Dianna Wiklund  and FBG President, Mark Paxton  chatted with attendees about how they can learn the best gardening practices by getting their hands dirty... or why gleaning during the fruiting season benefits for their own cupboards while the majority of the pickings go to food banks, schools, and senior centers.

(Below) Seth Rolland (Gleaner), Mark Paxton  (Grower)Shelby Smith (JCCWP), Kathy Ryan (Food Banks) and Judy Alexander (Community Activist) discuss the food safety net issues that face our community.

A big thank you to all who attended and learned about the ways our community is glued together. You made this day of connections so successful.
