Winner Winner. Veggie Dinner!

Salish Coast Garden wins the Premier Exhibitor Award

There is something endearing and validating about winning a blue ribbon at the County Fair. What if you won 31 blue ribbons, 7 red ribbons, and the Exhibitor Award!?!  Kudos isn't enough, but... KUDOS to farmer  Neil Howe,  teacher  Leta Fetherolf,  and the  FBG volunteers  (Milly, Keith, Erik, Jill, and Mary)  for bringing the Salish Coast  garden  along so quickly.

The FBG mission is to grow, gather, and give. Along with that we teach people how to grow it themselves as they work side-by-side in the gardens. We're very hands on that way... Considering the results the new Salish Coast garden is generating, our mission has a new high bar of excellence to surpass. While most of the produce goes directly into school lunches the excess is going the the Food Banks. Another win. win.

Come see for yourself at the Salish Coast Open House, August 31, 5-7:30 or during the Farm Tour. It's on the corner of Discovery and Grant streets.

Below is a collection of the ribbon winners.
