Hoop House Donation!

Donations Feed Many

Rita Kepner and John Matthiessen pose in Hoop House #1 at  Quimper Grange Food Bank Garden. They were no longer able to use the structure, and wanted it to be useful elsewhere. Through many connections, it landed at the Grange Garden. Shold Landscaping donated gravel for the floor. Many hours of labor from great volunteers went into the foundation, with extra thanks to Jo Yount, Mark & Mary Paxton, Lys Burden, Herb Tracy and others.


Last year, another donor gave a generous gift, running electricity to the hoop house, enabling it to become a greenhouse with heat mats, lighting, and fans. This year they gave a new irrigation system to the garden. With gifts like these, many vegetable starts will feed many more people.
