Leaping into Sowing

Release the seeds!

Sure February 29th was cold and wet, but that didn't stop the rugged members of Brian's garden from kicking off the 2024 garden season with a massive one day "Sow In".

Twelve growers gathered at the Fair Grounds Horticultural building where they could spread out and have plenty of tables to work on under well lit and dry conditions.

Organized by Garden co-managers Lys Burden, Denny Schauer, and Amber Langley,  the volunteers traded future hours of weeding around the buildings in exchange for the space.

After 48 cumulative hours, 27 flats of crops and flowers were tucked into their cells and ready to spring into action during our annual collaboration with seeds, soil, and sun.
