Volunteer Season Opener

Spring training has arrived!

In the gardens and backyards the crowds are chanting -

"Grow and Glean" "Grow and Glean" "Grow and Glean" …

Yep - It's March which means the FBG Gardens and Gleaners we are ready to welcome back the experienced players and novices to the local food production game. If you have an itching to dig in, prune up, or carry on harvests… we need you!

Our volunteers learn new skills while developing new friends over the summer… and of course new recipes for all that food being grown or picked.

Contact Dianna Wiklund at FBGGardenCoordinator@gmail.com or volunteer via the website page and Dianna will follow up.

We need season-long players and pitch hitters for:

GROWING:

  • Weekly Weeders (2 hours each time)
  • Weekly Harvesting (2 hour time each time)
  • Garden Co-Managers- Team up with a current manager and share the rewards.
  • Garden Helpers - Sometimes a manager needs a break and a garden "sitter" to watch over things until they return.

(The tiny Coop Garden needs a "sitter" for April. Hint. Hint.)

  • Remote office jobs (flexible)
  • Remote writers (flexible)
  • Event Help (as needed twice a year)
