Turnips out. Tomatoes in!

The Grange Growers crank up production

From January 1 to date, the Quimper Grange Food Bank Growers Garden donated 59.25 pounds of turnip greens and 53 pounds of turnips. We are now converting the turnip bed to grow tomatoes.

Barbara commissioned a soil test. We met with Dianna Garden Coordinator to talk about potential amendments. The QC FBG crew is designing placement of the tomatoes. We plan to grow mostly cherry tomatoes because they are productive, easy to harvest and can get to the food banks quickly.

QC FBG garden harvest is so abundant that we now serve PT Food Bank, Recovery Cafe, Tri-Area Food Bank, and the Eaglemount Pop-up Food Bank.
