Yearly Harvest

From the Growers and the Gleaners

In 2021 the Food Bank Growers and the Quimper Community Harvest Gleaners delivered a record high of over 36,000 pounds of local fruits and vegetables to the Food Banks and others in need.  It's amazing what we can grow, one plot, one tree at a time.

Each week, the Growers weigh and record their harvest by the type of veggie or fruit. The stats are sent to the FBG Stat person who adds them to a cumulative data base on Google Sheets.

The Gleaners also weigh and record their picks from backyard orchards. This year's haul took in over 13,000 pounds of fruit and 1000 ears of corn.
